Why do I need travel insurance?

What is the age limit?

Our travel insurance covers anyone up to the age of 86 years old.

Is a person’s nationality or country an issue when buying travel insurance?

All people are covered regardless of their nationality as long as they are travelling outside their country of residence.

I don't need visa to enter the Schengen Area. Can I still have an insurance?

Yes. Regardless whether you need a visa or not you can always book your travel insurance.

Can I buy an insurance for someone else?

You can definitely do. Be sure to have a copy of his passport, his email address, telephone number, and country of residence of the person who wants to be insured.

What countries are Schengen states?

Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have all acceded to the Schengen Agreement and are thus Schengen states.

If my visa was rejected, can I get a refund for my insurance?

You need to present your visa rejection letter once received from the embassy within a delay of 1 week and you will get refunded.

My trip dates have changed, can I change the dates of my insurance?

You can always change the dates of your insurance before its inception date by contacting the agent that booked your insurance.

I have already purchased my insurance can I upgrade my plan?

If you want to upgrade your insurance plan, you need to contact your agent (the one who booked your insurance) before the inception date of your insurance certificate.

I’m abroad and I have an issue, what should I do?

For any assistance (medical or non-medical) you need to call our alarm center numbers available on your insurance card and they will help you access the required service and will guarantee directly the payment for admission if required following the terms and conditions of your insurance certificate.

What is a pre-existing condition?

It is a medical illness or condition that a person has before buying the travel insurance whether known or unknown that has developed over the time, even if you have not been hospitalized or diagnosed or treated for this condition.

If I applied for a claim reimbursement, how long will it take for my claim to be reviewed?

Once all the required and necessary documents are handed to us, we will reply with an answer within 7 working days.

Are there any additional costs that I should pay after buying the insurance?

No, there are no added costs to the price.

What does deductible mean?

Deductible means the amount you pay for a covered health care services before your insurance plan starts to pay.

I have not received my documents. What should I do?

First, you need to check your spam box, if the documents are not there, then you need to contact your agent.

17.
If my insurance certificate has some wrong information, how can I correct them?

You just need to contact your agent before the cover starts.

Claim Handling Procedure

Direct Billing

Contact G-Assist on below number:
Provide G-Assist with:
  • Company reference: GTS
  • Full name
  • Policy number & Expiry date
  • Reason for hospital admission

Reimbursement

Provide G-Assist upon return with:
  • A full detailed medical report with medical history
  • The original invoices
  • Copy of the travel insurance policy
  • Copy of the passport

In case claim is covered and after assessment and auditing G-Assist will reimburse the accepted invoices within 30 days.
