In the event of a sudden illness or injury occurring outside the user’s country of residence, the GTS call center must be notified immediately. Direct payment will be provided in accordance with the general conditions, subject to any applicable deductible, for cases not related to pre-existing conditions, and in line with usual, reasonable, and customary charges.
GTS will arrange and cover the costs of air or surface transportation, communication, and all usual and customary ancillary services required to move and transport the user in the event of a Serious Medical Condition to the nearest hospital where appropriate medical care is available. This coverage also applies, if medically necessary, following a hospital admission for a covered case.
During an overseas trip, if the user is mandatorily placed in quarantine outside their country of residence or departure by a written order from an authorized authority or medical practitioner due to a positive COVID-19 test, coverage will apply as per policy terms.
If the user is admitted to a hospital due to an infection from an epidemic or pandemic disease, and the insurance policy is in force, in-hospital confinement will be covered in accordance with the policy terms
GTS will arrange and cover the transportation of the deceased user’s mortal remains from the place of death to their country of residence, if requested by a close family member or legal representative.
In the event of an incident, GTS will assist with the costs of search and rescue operations carried out by the competent authorities.
GTS will cover, up to the limit specified in the schedule of benefits, the cost of obtaining replacement documents while overseas if they are lost or stolen.
GTS will provide compensation for luggage delay or loss for which the carrier is liable, including settlement of any compensation payment from the carrier, in the event of delay or loss during a scheduled flight.
GTS shall indemnify the user if their flight is delayed by more than 8 hours, subject to the conditions outlined in the policy.
GTS shall indemnify the user for all non-refundable deposits, accommodation expenses, and other prepaid charges for which the user is legally liable, in the event the trip must be canceled prior to the scheduled departure date due to any of the conditions specified in the policy.
If the user, aged between 18 and 60, dies as a result of a covered accident while traveling in a common carrier (taxi, bus, or metro), GTS will pay the full amount specified in the Schedule of Benefits to the legal heirs.
